Circles Café, York

Circles Café, York This coffee house feels very "York"... it's small and cosy and it's shoved into a bridge over the Ouse. It's my second-favourite place to drink coffee in this lovely city.

Beckindales Continental Café, Hawes

Beckindales Continental Café, Hawes Beckindales is a large café in the Yorkshire Dales; the closest thing you'll get to a coffee house in this most tea-roomy corner of the world.

Sip Coffee, Richmond

Sip Coffee, Richmond This is a does-what-it-says-on-the-tin sort of café. It's small and straight-forward, and a very good place to sip coffee in Richmond.

Leoni, Malton

Leoni, Malton Top notcher

Coffee Shop, York The Coffee Shop can be a little gloomy but it's in an excellent spot (right by the Minster) and it does good coffee and great ice cream.

Balloon Tree Farm Shop & Café, Stamford Bridge

Balloon Tree Farm Shop and Café, Stamford Bridge This nice little café is good in its own right, but it deserves special mention due to the award-winning farm shop under the same roof. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Hemingways, Skipton

Hemingways, Skipton Hemingways stretches the definition of a coffee house, but despite being tea-room-like it is still worthy of a mention.
